Let’s hear for the man. No April Fool’s Day tricks or jokes today. Let’s hear it for my husband.
This raising a kid thing is everything I thought it would be. But I’ll be damned if it’s not a million times harder than I expected. I’m on maternity leave so after a night of very little sleep, I can (maybe, possibly, with any luck at all) go back to sleep at some point during the day. But my husband is still working full time during this trying new parent transition.
Despite that, my hubs makes sure I get to take a shower before he leaves for work every morning. He makes sure I eat breakfast before he walks out of the door. And when he gets home, he always gives me a break.
I couldn’t to do this without him. No way, no how. Period. Full stop. I don’t know how other people manage on their own as new parents. However you do it, you’re to be respected. And for me, I couldn’t do it without the hubs.
